Review of Ghost in the Shell (2017) by Jeff D — 12 Jul 2017

The live action motion picture rewrites quite a bit in order to fit a lot into one movie making it seem more like a reboot. However if you look at it as merely a Hollywood into reboot then you shouldn't be disappointed.

There is a lot to like here and in the end I wasn't disappointed ... aside from the fact the lone spider tank wasn't nearly as epic as it should have been. In fact scarlets performance was amazing in that we actually see a major at the point of learning what she is and who she is and does an amazing job of it.

This is the first animated movie but without the epic hacking skills yet. I hope it gets a fairer shake on blueray.
