Review of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (2004) by John W — 17 Mar 2008
Stunningly beautiful, and a lot more darker in tone than the original. My initial reaction was that the film was going to focus more on robotics and Asimov's laws, yet as expected from GitS, it escalated into a twisting plot with underhanded corporate figures and illegal activities.
Parts of the film were a real mindfuck, about how easily our perceptions of so-called "reality" can be altered.
