Review of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (2004) by Darin R — 26 Jan 2010
Complex and philosophical, this movie is visually beautiful, especially its time.
It is easy to lose track of the dialog between Batou, Togusa, and the other characters. The conversation often shifts from the main plot to poems and verses from philosophy texts, which will probably make you go "huh..?" a couple of times during the movie. Overall though, this film is worth the trip. I recommended you watch the first Ghost in the Shell first, if only to get a bit more into Mamoru Oshii's head.
