Review of Ghost in the Shell (1995) by Masa O — 19 Apr 2009
It was good, but I just didn't get it. The plot seemed a bit weak because the artistic presentation has a very strong impact. The mvoie ended just when the story got interesting (trying not to give spoilers here) This looks like Bladerunner and Robocop mixed with a hint of Alan Moore.
They say The Matrix was heavily influenced by this movie, but hell no.... The Matrix was is a rip-off of Ghost in the Shell. It is a must see, but I personally just didn't get it. Don't think I have the patience to go through the whole series.
