Review of Ghost in the Shell (1995) by Deborah B — 29 Oct 2011
This was the film that introduced me to Anime. My favorite scene is the one in which Kusanagi, presumably possessed by the Puppet Master, delivers a haunting monologue on what it means to be an individual and how confined she feels in her ability to explore her own existence.
Great movies like Ghost in the Shell force us to confront who and why we are. Fantastic must-see movie.
