Review of Ghost in the Shell (1995) by Bruno D — 24 Jun 2016
While Im not a fan of anime I do think this is a really good movie. As a fan of the Cyber Punk genre I had to check this movie out. Now that Ive seen it what can I say. Visually this movie looks amazing utilizing its Cyber punk roots to the fullest with its great cyberpunk designed characters and world as well with the ambient music that feels right out of Blade Runner and remind me a lot of the Deus Ex series.
The movie goes deep into bold questions such as what it means to be human, artificial intelligence and augmentation as well as having an identity of your own. While the movie has an interesting story, great visuals and music it does go exposition heavy on the techno talk.
It isn't to much of negative as its just a small nit pick. 4/5.
