Hate to break it to the kids watching Samurai Champloo, but Jarmusch did it first. This marriage of hip hop gangster and samurai mythology works wonderfully. Whitaker is awesome but I didn't need to tell you that.
My only fuss is that some of the movements and lines come off as a bit tacky..such as the way he swings his gun like a samurai sword before holstering it.
