Review of Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) by Aaron B — 09 Aug 2008
This movie is almost perfect. A stoic hitman/samurai comes to blows with an aging and bumbling mafia in New York, but the plot takes a back seat to some first class characterisation and dialogue.
The soundtrack by the RZA is outstanding, and in hindsight, probably served as the Dust Brother's inspiration for their soundtrack to Fight Club.
Be on the look out for cameos by other members of the Wu-Tang Clan.
I can't recommend this enough.
