Reminds me a lot of Le Samurai... Loner hitman keeps to himself, has a pet bird, drives around in "borrowed" cars, lives in a shack, has corn rows, eats nothing but ice cream, reads all day, make gadgets, weilds a samurai sword...
Well mostly like Le Samurai.
