Review of Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) by Karl M — 21 Aug 2010
Forest Whitaker plays a hitman who follows a samurai warrior code; by chance, he winds up being the target of the mob he usually works for. Great performance by Forest Whitaker here, and a brilliant, slow-moving but engaging Jim Jarmusch film with lots of bits of humor here and there, including the hitman's ongoing conversations with a French-speaking ice cream man.
Soundtrack by the RZA is great, too.
