Review of Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) by Sarfaraz A — 01 May 2012
Ghost Dog.
Starring: Forest Whitaker.
Nice film, reminded me of David Cronenberg's A History of Violence (though the later is very different, yet the sublime-plot of gangster-cum-crime life is very much moderate and entertaining). Film gives marvelous attention to assassination-tricks used by Ghost-Dog (Forest Whitaker) makes it look even amazing to suck whole of entertainment out of the film. A must watch film, although it hardly tackles Samurai-fight sequences in the film, which is pretty much distracting for its title, rather it is all about the life a Samurai might live.
