Faithfully based on the supurb Killer Angels by Michael Shaara, Gettysburg is the story of the three day battle that defined the history of the USA and arguably, changed the history of the world. Shot on the site, the battle sequences are beautifully portrayed.
(Can a battle be beautiful?) The acting is of the highest quality. One of my favourite movies.
