An absolute crime that this movie was completely ignored by the Oscars. Should have been nominated for Art Direction, Sound, Sound FX, Costumes, and Jeff Daniels for Supporting Actor. But it was snubbed just because it was financed by Ted Turner.
Also, one of the closest adaptations of a book ever.
