Review of Gettysburg (1993) by Heather R — 21 Feb 2008
Obviously the best civil war movie. I think I've watched it at least 300 times. I started watching it when I was 15 or maybe younger and I know the movie outside and in, but I continue to watch it and continue to tear up at the speeches.
It's that moving and realistic. I especially liked going to Gettysburg, and seeing where it all happened. It definately helped me get a fix on the civil war history and since I've read any book about it I can get my hands on.
Actually I met the writers son (since the writer is dead) and had my picture taken with him and such. Really nice guy.
