Review of Get Over It (2001) by Carmela M — 09 Aug 2008
The First Wives Club - Fun and sunny, but also a bit crass and predictable - much like my mother. I do love me some Bette, though, and Goldie and Diane are more than welcome any time. **1/2 (out of ****) C+.
For Love of the Game - A sweet and nicely-played love story, between both two people, and a man and baseball. Sam Raimi, rather oddly, directs. *** (out of ****) B.
Forces of Nature - Silly, tedious and annoying romance than grinds our nerves all the way to its predictable conclusion (while also irritating with its many contrivances along the way). *1/2 (out of ****) D+.
French Kiss - Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline make it work. It's too long and predictable, but it's sweet, charming and funny enough to push all that aside. *** (out of ****) B.
Get Over It - What a stupid, wretched, awful piece of trash. * (out of ****) D.
