Review of Get Over It (2001) by Wjstrobelight — 16 Nov 2015
This film is nothing short of a cult classic. A crazy good farce that shouldn't be written off. Stellar performances by the entire cast (yes, including Sisqó) elevate what would otherwise be a standard teen movie.
Ben Foster is the perfect leading man, grounding the entire film and only making everything funnier. Martin Short, obviously, steals the film. Nearly every one of his lines is quotable. Stylistically this film is funky, fun, and well-executed.
Tone is the hardest thing to achieve in films and this one nails it from the beginning and never falters. It's not a movie for everybody, but those who love it know exactly why it's a lasting and worthwhile comedy.
