Review of Get Out (2017) by Sandborn — 28 Feb 2017
A lousy set up with a solid and clever last 30 minutes. The first hour is full of cringe-worthy dialogue with every white person acting as a caricature. It drags so much to get to the point, I thought I was going to leave.
But when the plan is revealed and set into motion, it becomes an engrossing thriller. As a first time director, Jordan Peele does a pretty good job; but his screenwriting needs a bit of work.
