Review of Get Out (2017) by Jaime L — 20 May 2017
I'd call this an average thriller (not horror imo, never came close to being "scared") with standard horror type tropes though (jump scares bleh) and with an anti-white bias. The third act got to be quite absurd as well and got hard to stick with.
Still even if it wasn't impressive to me on a story or character basis it was well directed and acted. Well acted cardboard stereoytypes perhaps but well acted all the same.
