Review of Get On Up (2014) by Shin B — 01 Aug 2014
Chadwick Boseman Actually Possessed Into The Man James Brown Himself. The Way The Movie Played Out Was In A Way Of Going From One Time To The Next In Way Of Flash Back And Then Flash Forwarding. One Scene You See Him As A Child, Then You Would See A Scene Of Him Coming Up In The Music Business. Great Job On The Makeup Department And The Performances Are On A Track So Don't Expect A Lot Of Live Singing. Also, Be On The Lookout For The Actor Who Portrays His Friend, Bobby Byrd. Great Performance On His Part! One Question Stays On My Mind After Watching This But This Exceeds His Performance As Jackie Robinson In 42.
Overall, The Story Switching Just Kept Throwing Me Off. Maybe I'd Have To Watch It Again In A Better Theaterâ¦.
