Awful, lame, and gut-wrenching to sit through. Couldn't stand it for more than 15 minutes so my ex-/now-friend-with/out-benefits/it's complicated/companion had to walk out.
Of course everyone HAS to love this movie, otherwise they don't appreciate the legend that is James Brown, but seriously, if you're evaluating on the film as a whole, it lacks great direction and, actually makes you regret spending nearly 20 dollars for such a waste of time.
