At this stage of his career Robert Duvall seems to only be interested in small, character driven movies with stories that are completely non-commercial. Fortunately this is also the type of movie Bill Murray makes these days as well.
They both do a good job as does Sissy Spacek. "Get Low" is a good film (though not a great one) where story and character are king and made me wish Duvall and Murray would do more stuff.
