Review of Get Hard (2015) by Drlowdon — 27 May 2017
Having being sentenced to ten years in a maximum security prison hedge fund manager James King (Ferrell), realising that he isn’t cut out for life behind bars, seeks the aid of Darnell (Hart) who he thinks can get him ready for prison life.
Anyone that has ever seen a Will Ferrell comedy will pretty much know what to expect here. The lead duo do have good on screen chemistry, which does help sell a fairly mediocre script and provide some laughs, but this is a far cry from Ferrell’s best work in films such as Anchorman and Elf.
