Legend. I was a fan of the book and only saw this in my late teens. A Classic. A great seedy look at Carter's hometown and the sinister events that happened since leaving.
A tour de force of unrelenting vengeance. Caine doesn't take any shit and the girl in the boot was a nicely twisted moment.
