A London gangster goes 'home' to Newcastle seeking revenge for his brother's death, which was suspicious at least. In the guise of paying his respects, Carter conducts an investigation uncovering a seedy world of porn and underage sex.
Superb performance from Caine, who can be forgiven for his shaky films of the 80's. Too many memorable scenes and quotes to list. Ends on a rather surprising note, showing that it's most certainly not a 'Hollywood' film.
