Review of Get a Job (2016) by Darren B — 27 Mar 2016
This movie tries to break new ground by addressing the job struggles that face not only new post grads but people that have been working for years at the same company then become downsized and are forced to start over.
While I applaud the subject matter, I can't applaud the movie. The plot is thin and suffers from pacing issues, lack of funny jokes, and phoned in performances by talented actors. All in all the message strikes a tone in the millennial generation that is suffering from lack of options and the decision to pick safety at a shit job over doing something that you are passionate about, but the movies doesn't really deliver on that message.
