Review of Gerry (2002) by Tobias L — 28 Mar 2007
Quite possibly... the most boring movie ever made.
The dialogue between Casey Affleck and Matt Damon feels adllibbed, and poorly ad-libbed at that, some of the scenes make absolutely no sense. One stands out where Affleck is standing on a rock for 10 minutes talking to Damon, on how to come down from the damn thing. Even though... it begs the question, why was he up there in the first place? How did he get up there in the first place?
Anyway, this is Gus Van Sant at his worst, and he remains one of the most inconsistent directors of all time.
Watch Fish TV instead, the program which just shows fish swimming for 24 hours. It's about as thought-provoking and interesting as this movie >_>".
