Review of Gerry (2002) by Codie E — 11 Dec 2007
A beautiful experiment (100mins/100 shots) that sits perfectly between Van Sant's My Own Private Idaho and Elephant. Whether it is completely successful is another matter. There can be merit in a film in which very little happens, very slowly but the best moments of this were the ones of Affleck and Damon conversing and I wanted more of it.
Both actors were very good and while the film probably is everything it wants to be, I wanted more.
