Those with short attention spans won't appreciate "Gerry". But true fans of cinema and of Gus Van Sant won't mind that for most of the movie, Casey Affleck and Matt Damon are just walking.
And walking. And walking. As they walk, the gravity of their situation comes to light. "Gerry" is a simple but heart-wrenching movie by "Good Will Hunting" and "Elephant" director Gus Van Sant.
Van Sant certainly has his own unique stile, which I think adds to the powerful effect this film can have on you.
