Review of Geostorm (2017) by Rob B — 04 Feb 2018
Literally one of the worst movies I've ever seen, and I have a low bar for enjoying movies. None of the characters make sense or behave in a way that seems reasonable. They cast Gerard Butler as the smartest scientist in the world.
Let that sink in. Then they cast a guy who looks like he's 19 and in the running for Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad) but put that guy in charge of the largest international project every conceived by humans.
It's absolutely insane. The plot holes are enormous and the story progression sucks. I idea of the giant weather satellite is mildly interesting, but I'm sure that's the only thing they had for the story, and then they forced a bad script around it.
