Review of Georgia Rule (2007) by Ellenrebekah A — 28 Aug 2009
I appreciate the issues this deals with, relationships and secrets between mothers and daughters, women who are intimately connected but don't alwyas understand eachothers struggles. But I did not enjoy the way it was presented.
Humor can certainly be helpful in dealing with tough matters but ugly language is not intelligent humor. Fonda, Lohan, and Huffman gave good performances but I think it could have been better. I was not expecting the pain the women were masking and that may have tainted my perspective, I got more drama and less girl fun.
