This movie is earnest and funny, sort of a quirky romantic comedy set in a fantasy-esque medieval England. James Purefoy is a delight to watch, and he manages a bit of chemistry with Piper Perabo. Patrick Swayze is.

.. there. And awful. I think Val Kilmer was in it for a moment. Overall a bit of fun if not well-written or acted. A good group movie, and hella easy to mock.
