Review of George and the Dragon (2004) by Jennifer T — 30 Aug 2009
Quite crudely made, but I am always a sucker for old English legends, such as King Arthur, Robin Hood, and of course George and the Dragon. Patrick Swayze plays an evil, cheesy American which does not bode well for an English based plot, although Piper Perabo does play the cute yet feisty princess quite well.
James Purefoy, after seeing him in the Rome series, created a George character that for me, was not quite heroic enough; a bit too soft round the edges. The CGI which creates the dragons could have been better, seeing as this was only created a few years ago, but this is expected from an obviously lower budget film.
Overall cute yet forgettable...
