Review of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) by Suzy P — 20 Oct 2007
Marilyn Monroe is at the height of her incandescent beauty. Jane Russell still displays the sultry charms that had Howard Hughes design a special brassiere to showcase 10 years earlier in "The Outlaw" (and which made the ratings board swoon). Both women are at the top of their comedic game, delivering snappy, witty lines and song and dance numbers with equal ease and finesse.
A classic, with two beauties at their best. Thoroughly enjoyable.
