Review of Gentleman's Agreement (1947) by Min K — 28 Nov 2008
Compelling film and storyline. Sometimes I was desiring there to be more musical score (the music in this film is quite minimal), but the lack thereof does add to the tension and suspense. At times the acting seemed a bit deadpan, but overall great performances.
Celeste Holm is always fun to watch. And who can beat Gregory Peck as the intriguing leading man? Also fun to watch a very young Dean Stockwell (of Quantum Leap fame) perform some very good acting. An important film that has relevance today in addressing prejudice of any kind.
