Review of Gattaca (1997) by Sébastien D — 12 Oct 2011
While I wouldn't, as some critics do, call this the best sci-fi of the 90's, it is an immensely original piece of work by a talented filmmaker with a great cast that tells a great story which is like a film noir version of Blade Runner.
It's not without its cheese and Uma Thurman, who's usually so good, doesn't seem like she quite knows what she's doing, but it's a smart, entertaining picture.
