Review of Gattaca (1997) by Mark L — 22 Jan 2012
Finally got around to watching this movie. It really was a couple years ahead of its time. If came out a couple years later than it originally did, it probably would be more than just a cult genre classic. However, I must say that it did get a little boring for me in some cases, but perhaps its because I was bored with Uma's role. She really didn't need to be in this, but I'm not the man that made the film.
Definitely worth showing to a high school class of students in an attempt to make curriculum much more interesting, I believe that most of them with the right science teacher can make this work and have great discussion in class on ethics and what not.
Ethan Hawke looks like crap now. Uma still got it, and great way for Jude Law to break out in the American industry. Oh yeah, and it's on point with all the messed up parts about society.
