Review of Gaslight (1944) by Curtis H — 29 Feb 2008
A true psychological classic. Angela Lansbury's first film role and first Oscar nomination(she hasn't won any by the way, and that is just wong!), is just one of the stellar performances is this psychological thrill classic, about a truly evil frenchman and his desire to get his wife comitted to an asylum.
A strong cast and some well done story telling get the job done in this, one of the first most original thrillers of film.
