Review of Garden State (2004) by Hsiao Ling P — 01 May 2011
I rewatched this movie after first watching it five years ago. Again, blame it on my obsession with Natalie- I might just rewatch Star Wars too.
It's funny how I didn't like her and the movie last time and now, I like her and it so much. In fact, it's going to be one of my favourite movies too. Simply for being simple and unpretentious and I am really into movies with very little action and lots of talking. So you know.
Zach really carried the movie and Natalie helped him carry it. It's nice how we are brought on a journey of exploration for Andrew Largeman and when everything finally clicks, you cheer for him. And my absolute favourite is how Natalie is Sam, the pathological liar. She's hilarious!!
P/s: I rated this 2 stars last time and now, it's 4 stars. I was actually thinking of giving it 5. Maybe after I watch it again. Haha..
