Review of Gangster Squad (2013) by Randy B — 15 Jun 2013

First off, I can't help but think that it was meant to be slightly cartoonish. The visuals, the dialogue, the exaggerated, caricature portrayals of virtually every character. Second, it plays fast and loose with history (Cohen was, like Capone, only arrested on tax evasion charges).

That aside, the question that remains is "was it a fun ride?" and the answer to that is yes, it was.
