If you took scarface and clockwork orange and slammed them togeter you get gangster no 1 when you wipe the blood away. One of the best gangster films ever, if not, one of the best films you've never seen.
The clip (bye bye lenny) not for the faint of heart but the first two minutes are awesome and bloodless.
