Review of Gangster No. 1 (2000) by Danny S — 16 Sep 2007
Lock stock meets the Talented Mr Ripley, but the car crash of a film contains no redeeming features whatsoever. Bettany and McDowell, two actors whom I usually enjoy watching, give performances so poor that their co stars almost appear to be embarresed by them.
The over-ambitious direction seems to confuse itself continually throughout and this coupled with one of the most piss poor scripts I have ever heard confirms this movie as a real dissapointment.
