Review of Gangster No. 1 (2000) by Corpse M — 21 May 2009
This movie starts off with Malcolm McDowell looking straight at the camera and snarling, "What do you take me for, a c*nt?" That pretty much sums up what this movie is all about, as it shows the rise and fall of London's "Gangster No.
1" from the sixties up till 2000. A bit derivative of Tarantino, Ritchie (himself derivative of Tarantino), and "Goodfellas," it is still good fun. Paul Bettany outshines McDowell, who respectively play the younger and older versions of the film's unnamed Gangster No.
1.
