Gangs Of New York at times is messy due to lack of not giving enough detail on the events in the late 1800s, but the script and story are excellent. Overall Gangs Of New York has steller performances from Day Lewis and Dicaprio that make up for the distractions around them, while delievring a classic revenge tale.
