Review of Gangs of New York (2002) by Evan K — 16 Mar 2014
Day Lewis is sublime and the supporting cast is excellent. DiCaprio was very uninspiring. I think a better choice would have been Colin Farrell or Ewan McGregor. The film loses momentum towards the end but apart from that, it's an excellent historical watch.
Oh, and not being a fan of Cameron Diaz, the film could have done without her.
