Epic in scale and even includes a disclaimer at the beginning that it probably won't do his life justice, Attenborough does a compelling job of detailing the events of Gandhi's life. If anything, the events that take place before his return to India while trying to explain his motivations actually make him more enigmatic.
This could probably have been handled a bit differently and perhaps better.
