Classic Jap monster film made properly! Monster is as absurd as it ever was but everybody takes it seriously and they spent some money. If you can't handle the black & white classics this is a good monster film to start on.
Female lead is a spunk also, and they let her call the shots in an amazingly un-Japanese fashion. Go one, give it a go.
