A masterpiece. The critics who gave it a bad rating are probably already too old or too slow for this kind of movie, or just too shallow to see it's true colors. This isn't a run-n-gun movie for gamers.

It's a creepy tale of the new generation of spoiled brats which sends shivers down your spine. A 17-year-old rich boy controls a man like he's a toy, and kills people not because he's a villain, or because he's bad - he's just a normal kid.

Not caring about the deaths and suffering even when confronted with it, but he does willingly sell out for a peanut butter sandwich when confronted with an option to end up in the same mess himself, showing he's just a weak boy.

There are other situations in a movie where a young adult is talking to an "old school" adult like he/she is a number. That kind of cruelty is absolutely terrifying. Almost every aspect of the future depicted in this movie is already here, but we don't see it as such, we see it as normal.

Same as the killings are normal for the gamer kid, who is just a product of the depicted socitety and is not a villain as such. The movie also serves as a parody of the current American lifestyle, and although it's been done before, it does it well - and sends a warning message about the possible future.

"Gamer" is sending a deep message about human cruelty, or better said, teenage cruelty - enforced on and adult man who's probably the best fighter in the world. But all your might can't save you from a government-controlled cruelty and one spoiled brat.

It's spooky.
