A very well written comedy whose two leads elevate it from good to great.
Bateman is at his dry best, alongside a hysterical Rachel McAdams. It?s as though both of their careers suddenly got a shot in the arm here (heh, heh).
The only downside of Game Night is that it has too many characters, and while some are side-splitting delights (thank you Jesse Plemons) others feel pedestrian compared to the comic gods around them.
More details to come later. For now suffice it to say that after having seen it, my immediate reaction is that Game Night is the best pure comedy movie of the last 5 years.
