Review of Galaxy Quest (1999) by Sean C — 19 Nov 2009
It absolutely floors me that I have forgotten to review this movie for so long, as it's easily one of my favorite comedies and sci-fi films, period. The cast is to die for, with Alan Rickman, Sam Rockwell, Sigourney Weaver, Tony Shalhoub, and Tim Allen, and the plot lampoons "Star Trek" in the same brilliant way that "Spaceballs" mocked "Star Wars".
This is definitely one worth checking out, especially since it just dropped on Blu-Ray this week. I would suggest picking it up along with the new Star Trek movie and watching them back to back. This one's hard not to love.
