Review of Gainsbourg: A Heroic Life (2010) by Ellen G — 14 Nov 2010
This one has it, you do not :P.
There is drama, tragedy, good acting, pleasing music and Brigitte Bardot! What more could one expect? Okay, there is no Sophia Loren nor Marcello Mastroianni, but you can't have it all.
One could criticize that this probably works best as a one-time experience. Also, about the physical alter ego manifestation approach I feel a bit ambivalent, as it could have been possible for the leading actor to do the same thing all by himself. But it, perhaps, makes it easier to reflect the personality of leading character.
